Description: Implements the estimation of local (and global)
        association measures: Lewontin's D, Ducher's Z, pointwise
        mutual information, normalized pointwise mutual information and
        chi-squared residuals. The significance of local (and global)
        association is accessed using p-values estimated by
        permutations.
